They are slightly inclined towards the outside of the terrace.So, in the event of an earthquake they would come crashing into the gardens and the Yamuna (The river north of the complex), and not on the mausoleum.

These dogs are in every city I visited in India. They all look the same so this must be what a dog looks like if you dont breed them. Even in packs they leave you alone.
