The nice cut out walk way for the museum tourists like me was made possible by removing a section of the wing spar. The B-29 at the Air Force Museum at Wright Pat. The round thing above is the pressurized crawl space for the crew.

Flying into Portland
My brother in law suggested that as long as I was in the neighborhood, I might as well get a fresh lobster dinner at his favorite seafood restaurant in Portland near where he grew up.

Further south the weather started closing in. Didn't really feel like getting vectored around unfamiliar airspace IFR through NYC so I diverted to Groton.

Flight Path
There was an on line course the FAA required people to work before flying in this airspace. I kept the Mooney along the planned flight path much closer through here.

Pax River
About as close as you can get to Pax River without declaring an emergency. But afterwards the Navy would give the Mooney's wing spar the B-29 Museum treatment
