Great hike! The parking lot does get crowded so many sure to get there early if you want a spot. We got up there about 9 on a Sunday and were fine. There is a tree down right at the beginning of the trail and it’s not easy to climb over. If you have small kids I would wait until this is cleared to try this out! Otherwise, the rest of the trail was moderate and doable. Would recommend wearing hiking boots / shoes and bringing snow spikes. A lot of mud, rocks and streams to cross through. About halfway up the trail there is a lot of packed-down snow and it is slippery. We didn’t have spikes with us and were fine, but took it slow and slipped a lot. Gorgeous hike! There’s a reason it’s so popular. Can’t wait to come back this summer!
