The Gamble House

2019/05 1 day ~ $15.00

Amazing Arts and Crafts house built in 1908 by Green and Green for the Gamble family (of Proctor and Gamble fame). Built over a 2 year period for $50K, it was for the family's winter residence in Pasadena. It was included in a list of all-time top 10 houses in Los Angeles in a Los Angeles Times survey of experts in December 2008. The architects go their inspiration from a Japanese temple built for an exhibition, that displayed rather than hid how the structure was put together.
