Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to Travel Womple Corp.,
(“Womple”, “we”, “us” and “our”).
Womple is committed to ensuring the privacy of your personal
information. We are further committed to preventing unauthorized access to that
information. Our Privacy Policy details what personal information is collected
from our customers, users, business representatives, and others and explains
how we use it, how it is stored, and your choices related to our use of your
information.
WHO WE ARE
Go Womple is the go-to platform for those who love to
travel, post their travel adventures, and share with fellow travelers key
information about trip costs, accommodation, travel attractions, great food,
nature hikes, hard-to-access directions, and other information, all connected
to mapping pinpoints in one great platform. We connect our community of
travelers, we call “Womplers”, to represent the free-spirited adventurer who is
not held back by conventional bounds, and seeks to
explore all the world has to offer. Through technology, our community shares
information and knowledge gained so those that follow in their footsteps can
truly gain the most from their travel time and budget, plan their ultimate
trip, discover the coolest spots on earth that no-one ever knew about, all
conveniently connected with technology.
We developed our platform with travel adventurers in mind,
incorporating all the valuable experience we have gained to provide information
from those who have experienced particular travel
destinations to those who are planning to travel. Our advanced search filters
allow trip planners to filter our trip database for trips of interest and
relevance, that meet specific budget and time constraints set by the user. We
believe a picture tells a story and our Womplers love to post their trips with
the end-to-end photo posting, telling the complete story of the travel
adventure to share with their friends and the Wompler
travel community.
Womple, incorporated as Travel Womple Corp., is based in
California, located in the United States. We operate the Go Womple software
platform, available through the website located at https://www.gowomple.com/,
and related services and business activities (collectively referred to as
“Services”). We respect your privacy and take safeguarding your data seriously.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully together with the Terms of Use
(“Terms”) available at https://www.gowomple.com/terms.php, which governs your
use of the Services, to understand what Personal Information (defined below) we
collect from you, how we use it, and your choices related to our use of your
Personal Information. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do
not use the Services.
WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION?
“Personal Information” means any information relating to an
identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is
one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference
to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an
online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical,
physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that
natural person. Under specific laws, Personal Information may include any
information relating to a household.
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE PROCESS
We process Personal Information that you actively submit to
us, that we automatically collect through your use of our Services, and that we
collect from third-party sources. We may process your Personal Information with
or without automatic means, including collection, recording, organization,
structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use,
disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available,
alignment or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction of your Personal
Information.
Personal Information that you actively submit to us.
We collect Personal Information that you actively submit to
us when you register an account, post pictures, provide trip information,
interact with us on our social media channels, or otherwise use the Services.
Examples are provided below. You will know when we collect your Personal
Information because we will directly ask you for the information. We will
require certain Personal Information for you to use our Services or for us to
be able to contact you. There may also be circumstances where providing
Personal Information is optional and does not impact your access to Services.
Your Account. When you sign up for an account, we ask you to
provide key information relevant to travel so you can create a Wompler profile in our Go Womple community. We ask you to
provide your name, email, and a password, along with a nickname (for display on
the platform), age range, phone number and a “passport location” to represent a
locale that adds meaning to your Wompler profile.
Womple stores this information to help identify you when you log in and to get
your account set up.
Your Profile. Once you've
registered an account, you create a user profile that is displayed for the Wompler community to see. The information collected
includes the language spoken, average days travelled, your home airport, your
preferred website language, and the option to upload your profile photo and a
background image. We also give you room to write a short bio about yourself so
you can let other Womplers know who you are and what travel means to you. Who
knows, maybe you will start a grass roots following, maybe you will create a
travel trend, and maybe you will find other Womplers just like you who find the
perfect trips that can be fit within every budget. Your profile is also helpful
for readers to understand whether a trip you recommend is something that is
likely to also suit them.
Your Trips. The core feature on our Services is the ability
to post your trips end-to-end in pictures, connected to a cost, with
geolocation pinpoints. How cool is that! Not only does this help to locate
exact trailheads, restaurants, tourist spots, and hotels, but you can also find
even the coolest architectural door or bridge or window and pinpoint its exact location on a map for
another person to find and explore. Posting features are always combined with
our security features offering you the privacy settings where you can choose
when to make the specific picture or the entire trip publicly available.
Other Use of the Services. We give you the chance to “like”
what you see posted on the Services, to search various trips across the
Services, and to share this information with your friends on social media
platforms.
Make and Inquiry. We provide an option for users to submit
an inquiry with the Services online via email. We collect information about the
technical issue and
your email address.
Personal Information we automatically collect through your
use of the Services.
We receive some Personal Information automatically when you
visit Womple Services. This includes information about the device, browser, and
operating system you use when accessing our Services, your IP address, the
website that referred you, which pages you request and visit, and the date and
time of each request you make.
Personal Information we collect from third-party sources.
We integrate with third-party service providers that may
share Personal Information with us in connection with your use of our Services.
For example, when you click on related travel services from our site such as
airlines and hotels, we receive Personal Information related to that action.
Personal Information of minors.
The Services are not intended for users younger than 18. We
do not actively collect or otherwise process Personal Information from users under
the age of 18. If we become aware that an individual under the age of 18 has
submitted Personal Information without verifiable parental consent, we will
remove his or her information from our files.
Personal Information we do not collect.
We do not actively collect or otherwise process personal
data revealing racial origin, ethnic origin, political opinions, religious
beliefs, philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data or
biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data
concerning health or data concerning a natural person’s sex life or sexual
orientation. We do not actively collect or otherwise process personal data
relating to criminal convictions and offences.
